2020 4BarsRest Award Nominations
28th December 2020
The National Band of New Zealand has been recognised by 4BarsRest in the nominations for their annual awards. The Band has been nominated for 2020 Band of the Year and our fabulous conductor David Bremner has been nominated for Conductor of the Year. These nominations come after a year of huge challenges that the band faced to organise and perform, and they are a testament to our management team and the dedication of our players.
Our congratulations also go to our Principal cornet Harmen Vanhoorne who was also nominated for the Player of the Year award.
Also exciting to see one of our countries younger representative bands the National Secondary Schools’ Brass Band was nominated for Lower Grade Band of the Year. New Zealand banding has fared well this year despite the challenges it faced to assemble and organise.
